The bunker fuel supply and availability landscape is set to change when IMO’s global 0.5% fuel Sulphur content cap regulation is enforced from 2020. Shipowners have options to install Scrubber to reduce Sox or to use LSFO(Low Sulfur Fuel Oil) instead of HSFO(High Sulfur Fuel Oil). However, only large carriers such as VLGC are capable of installing Scrubber. Thus it is expected that market would shift from using HSFO to LSFO like Woosung’s WB BC. Woosung is entering maritime market cooperating with a couple of shipping liners.
